Terms of Service
Last updated: 11 June 2026
Acceptance of these terms
By using Avatarada you agree to these Terms of Service. Avatarada is an OAuth2 and OpenID Connect identity provider for the Cardano ecosystem. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
What Avatarada is
Avatarada lets you sign in to third-party applications using your Cardano wallet as your identity. Your identity is your wallet staking key; ownership is proven by a wallet signature — there is no on-chain transaction and no fee. There is no password, and no email or phone number is ever requested.
Your account and authentication
One staking key equals one account. You may additionally enroll passkeys (platform authenticators or hardware keys) for convenient sign-in. Your wallet is the root of trust and the only recovery mechanism: re-signing with the wallet restores access and can revoke all passkeys. You are responsible for keeping your wallet and authenticators secure.
Connecting third-party services
When you sign in to a service through Avatarada, you grant it a set of scopes you explicitly consent to — for example your identity, read-only public on-chain wallet data, or permission to deliver mail to your inbox. Services receive only public on-chain data permitted by the granted scopes, never personal data. You can review and disconnect services at any time from your dashboard.
The inbox (inbound-only mail)
Avatarada provides a read-only inbox at your stake address. It is inbound-only: Avatarada never sends mail, never replies, and emits no bounces. Mail is shown only from the verified sending domains of services you have connected; all other mail is silently discarded. The inbox is for transactional notifications, not a full mail client.
Acceptable use
Do not use Avatarada to break the law, to abuse or attack the service or its users, to circumvent the anti-spam whitelist, or to impersonate others. Developers must accurately declare their redirect URIs and sending domains and must not request scopes they do not need.
Availability and changes
Avatarada is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. The service is currently free. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features, and we may update these terms; material changes will be reflected by the "last updated" date.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Avatarada is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, nor for losses arising from your loss of wallet access or authenticators, from third-party services you connect, or from the on-chain data those services read with your consent.
Contact
Avatarada is currently a community project without a staffed support desk. Questions about these terms can be raised through the project's public channel linked from the developer console. A dedicated contact address will be published here once a support channel is in place.
